You always hear about how horrible it is that my generation is so attached to our technology - oh, how irritating all these opinionated children on the internet! Get off your cell phones! Go outside! I get it, we're the worst, but you have to admit that there are some great merits to blogging and the connectedness (not a word)(until now) that we all feel as a result of blogging, tweeting, facebook-ing, tumblr-ing. For one, that snapshot of another person's life? True inspiration. My style changed as a result, my view of my own little world changed, my opinions of certain people changed, my worldview is completely different. It has been broadened and expanded in a way that would not have happened otherwise. Also, where else can you express yourself in such a raw, honest form? True, there are journals. I have one. I use it to complain, make lists, and draw horrifically bad pictures of things like pens and trees when I'm bored. But sometimes, it's nice to know that perhaps someone will stumble across this, read a post, and be like 'hey, I agree with you.'
So there's that. Perhaps this will become habitual or perhaps this will become something I do for a month and get bored with/don't feel like putting the energy into. Either way, I'll be okay with it because at least I tried, right?
